Do you have any questions? Check out these answers to commonly asked questions.
You contact us via email or by phone and one of our consultants will work with you to determine the details of what you are looking to sell. We record the details on the specific pieces and loose gems for you so you do not need to keep notes. If needed, our specialists may need an image of the item (or items) to better see certain details and are able to make a better offer. Once all of your questions have been answered and we have all the information we need from you, we make you an offer. There is no pressure to sell and once you accept our offer, we begin our process of paying you immediately.
During the consultation for diamonds and other loose stones, we look at the carat, cut, color, and clarity of each one. Overall appearance and market demand are also factors we consider as well. For jewelry, we also account for the maker, the age of the item and its condition, as well as the style and quality of the piece. For watches, the specific brand may greatly enhance the desirability and the value of the offer. While not required for us to make an offer, possessing the original box and the piece’s paperwork is helpful during a consultation.
We purchase fine jewelry, watches and loose, precious stones. We deal in branded pieces from makers like Cartier, David Webb, Bvlgari, Rolex, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, and Patek Philippe. Diamonds, emeralds, rubies, and sapphires are sought as either loose stones or set in jewelry. We do not make offers on lab grown diamonds.
We purchase jewelry from Boucheron, Bucellatti, Bvlgari, Cartier, David Webb, Mauboussin, Schlumberger, Suzanne Belperron, Van Cleef & Arpels, Verdura, and many others.

We recognize that not every piece of fine jewelry is a signed one, but the values of those items are often greater. Even if the piece is not obviously marked, our consultants may be able to identify hidden signatures to determine the make. Regardless, we still purchase any fine pieces of jewelry.
While we appreciate working with you to buy or sell, there is no obligation to sell to The Diamond & Jewelry Exchange. If you do not accept our offer, details we wrote down will stay in our records so you can resume the process hassle-free when you come back.
Once you accept the offer, we will give you your payment as a check, an ACH transfer, a cash app of your preference, or we can have the money wired to you. You will be paid on the spot, the same day as your consultation.
There are no fees for you when you make an appointment for a consultation or at the conclusion of a consultation, regardless of whether you sell your items or not.
